Italian Inlaid Marble Center Table on Blackened-Iron Base

A striking Italian center table built around an exquisitely composed circular marble top. A pale blush field surrounds a central quatrefoil medallion of richly figured green stone, framed by warm ochre and terracotta accents. Delicate scrolling inlay traces the perimeter before meeting a dramatic dark marble border.

Beneath, a restrained blackened-iron base of four curving legs and a central stretcher gives the elaborate stonework room to command attention. The contrast is superb: lyrical and ornamental above, architectural and almost modern below.
