Early 20th-Century American Industrial Dental Cabinet
Approximate measurements: h. 55.5", w. 24.5", d. 20"
An unusual American dental cabinet dating to the early 20th century, retaining its beautifully aged crackled painted finish in soft ivory. The upper cabinet features a beveled-glass door with original industrial hardware, while the reverse is fitted with a paneled access door. Raised on elegantly curved steel legs with an open lower shelf and original casters.
Its graceful silhouette and timeworn surface lend the piece a sculptural quality rarely found in utilitarian furnishings. Equally compelling as a display vitrine, bar cabinet, or collector’s cabinet for objects of natural history.
Original unrestored condition with oxidation, surface wear, and losses to the painted finish consistent with age and industrial use. Acquired from the Uberto Gallo Estate.
